Polaris Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Head Teacher to lead its new, inclusive school in Burnley. This pivotal role involves creating a nurturing and supportive learning environment for up to 48 students aged 5-18 with diverse complex needs, focusing on Special Educational Needs (SEN). As part of the esteemed Polaris Community, with over three decades of experience improving young lives, the school aims to foster academic progress alongside emotional well-being and personal growth through a holistic approach.
Experience & Skills
Candidates should possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant primary or secondary teaching experience. A deep understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their unique requirements is essential. Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team, are critical. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required to engage effectively with all stakeholders. While not essential, a suitable first degree and/or NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) would be beneficial.
