NG Bailey, through its Freedom Network Services team, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor based in Basildon, Essex. This pivotal role involves overseeing the contractual and financial aspects of diverse projects within the Networks division, encompassing both electrical and civil frameworks as well as independent ventures. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring robust P&L management, optimal cash flow, and efficient working capital for the business unit, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
Experience & Skills
The role demands expertise in managing NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects, alongside executing precise measurement and valuations for applications, variations, and final accounts with both clients and suppliers. Key responsibilities include identifying and notifying Early Warnings and Compensation Events, ensuring contractual integrity throughout the supply chain, and generating accurate cash flow forecasts. Experience in creating and managing CVRs, leading monthly project reviews, and adeptly handling dispute and defect resolution processes is vital. Strong capabilities in client progress meetings, work approval procedures, invoicing, debt management, and supply chain oversight are expected. Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels and a commitment to continuous improvement are also important.
